• many responsibilities that come with being a senior veterinary nurse. Many of the key roles I have stated in my other places of employment .
• Working closely with other rescues and organisations including SABBR and Perth rescue angels to provide treatments

• Contributed to efficient clinic operations by maintaining clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and kennels.
• Assisted in surgical operations, ensuring a sterile environment and proper preparation of instruments for optimal outcomes.
• Assisted the veterinarian with euthanasia procedures when required, providing compassionate support to both patients and their owners during difficult times.
• Participated in continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry advancements in veterinary medicine practices For e.g stress free pets accredited, mental health first aid accredited, access to vet webinar and pro skills ongoing training.
• Managed medical records accurately and diligently, ensuring all documentation was up-to-date for seamless continuity of care among veterinary staff.
• Promoted a positive team atmosphere within the clinic by collaborating effectively with colleagues and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
• Conducted diagnostic tests such as radiographs, blood work, and urinalysis to aid in accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Performed dental cleanings and extractions under anesthesia, promoting oral health and preventing potential complications from untreated dental issues.

Weighing, medicating and preparing large volumes of patients daily for surgery.

Co-ordinating with other staff members e.g kennel hands on which patients need to be brought up for surgery and which have precedence over others.

Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting the veterinarian during surgeries.

• Administered routine, post-operative and daily treatments to animals in collaboration with the veterinarian.
• Euthanized sick and injured animals when appropriate.
• Weighed and examined animals and recorded information in files.
• Ordered supplies and conducted routine inventories of supplies and equipment.
• Cleaned kennels, examination and operating rooms and animal loading and unloading facilities.
• Filled prescriptions and coordinated refills for clients.
• Managed an adjoining veterinary supply shop that sold medications, animal food and pet equipment.
