Trainee (Working as an Volunteer in India)
- Responsibilities include PCA (Personal Care Assistant)
- Assist residents in daily activities like showering, shaving, dressing and feeding
- Provide support in mobility with lifting and standing machines
- Promote the independence of the residents
- Observe and report any changes to the client’s condition to the RN
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of client
- Experience in writing progress notes and giving handover
- Experience working in dementia ward and other cognitively impaired residents
- Incident reporting
- Knowledge of falls risk management and providing pressure area care
- Knowledge of ACFI (Aged care funding instrument)
- Providing care to palliative patients
- Good understanding of legal and ethical laws.
