Scope - Sewer Rising Main and Restoration

Key Deliverables

• 13 km of OD710/OD900 Sewer Rising Main per Unitywater specs, including trenching, HDD, tie-ins, gas release, section valves (up to DN750), odour control units, custom MSCL/MSFB spools, precast pits, HDPE HDD tie-ins, and hydrotesting.
• Construction of 2km of concrete footpath and asphalt bikeway, and restoration of 13 km of SRM with landscaping, fencing, and light pole installation, in line with Council and TMR specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Managed end-to-end subcontractor engagement – from issuing RFQs and BOQs to conducting bid evaluations, pre-award assessments, and preparing Authority for Expenditure (AFE). Facilitated Construction Risk Assessment Workshops (CRAW) prior to site commencement, ensuring risk mitigation strategies were in place.
• Coordinated with site crews and superintendent inspectors to ensure project compliance and safety.
• Led project planning and methodology development, ensuring efficient execution.
• Construction of temporary accessways and hardstands, coordination of temporary works designs (fencing, noise barriers, piling platforms), and quality management.
• Managed budgeting and cost forecasting, aligning project expenditures with financial targets.
• Scheduled and monitored work programs to ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
• Resolved site issues independently and collaboratively with the team, ensuring smooth project progression.
• Managing ITCs and ITPs for QA related to SRM and restoration, and informing the client about hold points and witness points

Traffic Engineer

• Collaborated with the delivery team to forecast and plan upcoming construction activities, ensuring timely execution.
• Coordinated with traffic subcontractors to develop and submit TGS, RCP, and TMP, ensuring they met SSC and TMR requirements and were approved by the relevant authorities.
• Managed stakeholder relations throughout the development and implementation of TMPs, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.
• Prepared and presented cost summaries and forecast to the Finance Manager for accurate month-end financial reporting.

Project: Cape York Region Package (CYRP) Stage 2 - Archer River Bridge FIFO

Client: Department of Transport and Mains Roads (DTMR)

• Developed monthly programs and Program to Completion, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Monitored and reported daily, weekly, and monthly progress to ensure production targets were met efficiently.
• Generated Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and maintained quality documentation in adherence to project specifications.
• Gained comprehensive experience in Bridge and road embankment civil construction and project management
• Pre-pour and post-pour checks on pre-cast piles and columns
• Used Civil Pro and team binder to document all site activities by opening lot for each site activity and sending relevant Hold Points and Witness Points to client as per ITP and relevant MRTS specifications
• Managed daily on-site construction activities, safety, quality, program, and costs associated with construction works.

• Project: Road Asset Management Contract Gen 2—North Coast
• Client: Department of Transport and Mains Roads (DTMR)
• Responsible for developing detailed project designs based on design briefs and project management of minor works projects.
• Project Risk Analysis and solution Development, Assessed all drainage structures and culvert across North Coast region, identifying potential network upgrades and solution for TMR to prevent long-term deterioration.
• Worked as a Quality Engineer on the Asset Management Team to oversee 8Km of sprayed bitumen resurfacing and line marking on Kin Kin Road and Yandina-Bli Bli Road Linemarking.
• Design and delivery of projects worth up to $1 million.
• Responsible for maintaining project safety, quality, environmental and traffic management system.
• Responsible for identifying defects and providing collaborative advice on sustainable network decisions.
• Review and prioritize the defect backlog list (Drainage).
• Experience in reviewing Traffic Management Plans, ensuring that met all requirement for safety and traffic Management.
• Managed project resources, schedules, and budgets efficiently, developing detailed programs and schedules to optimize resource use and minimize delays.

Bruce Highway Upgrade(wide centre line, overtaking lanes, rest area
upgrades, intersection upgrades and safer roadside treatments) (December 2021 to August 2022)

• Monitoring performance of all suppliers of products and services including Subcontractors.
• Establishment and maintenance of the QMP.
• This also includes the management of inspection and test functions such as client sign off (hold points, conformance reports), compaction and concrete cylinder/slump testing.
• The preparation of project variations including work processes, cost estimates and contract variation negotiations.
• The assessment, development and implementation of project non-conformances including recommendations for corrective and preventative actions and the review of these actions.
• Interact daily with the site supervisor and managing site activities.
• Preparing monthly progress claim.

Ravenswood Gold Mine Expansion : Bulk earthworks, drainage and permanent platforms for the project and associated infrastructure (July 2021 to December 2021)

• Updating construction schedule and managing sub-contractors.
• Interact daily with the site supervisor and managing site activities.
• The ongoing compliance by all site personnel, suppliers and subcontractors of the relevant aspects of the project e.g. ITP requirements, drawing revisions etc.

• Utilized AutoCAD to complete drafting of full project designs and individual components.
• Developed project schedule using MS project.
• Interfaced with equipment suppliers and contractors.
• Responsible for answering technical queries to site subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
• Developed and maintained design documents (Includes hard and soft copies) of construction projects along with Issuing reports, RFI, IR, and third-party test schedules.
• Interacted with state and local agencies to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
