Parth Makwana

Williams Landing,Australia

Summary

I, Parth Makwana, a young, passionate civil engineer, moved to Australia in 2016 to study a Master of Construction Management at the University of Melbourne, with the ambition to kickstart my professional career in Melbourne's construction industry. My journey started in 2017 in the capacity of Building Cadet with Knight Building Group, a high-end residential builder/developer in Caulfield South, where I was mentored by my project manager about the construction industry in Melbourne. Having performed a very versatile role as a site manager, and contracts administrator, I gained invaluable knowledge of the lifecycle of projects and the challenges faced during construction on site.

Hayden's Ceilings & Partitions brought a different and unique challenge during our projects for Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, where I was introduced to the CFMEU and the fast-paced nature of commercial construction. Working on projects for clients like Multiplex, ProBuild, Hutchinson Builders, Built, and Harris HMC was an induction by fire, where I faced challenges with CFMEU compliance, tight budgets, and project programs. This proved to be a stepping stone for my journey in the commercial construction industry.

The opportunity to work with CA Property Group came in 2019, where I started as a contract administrator and was put directly under the wing of Company Director Arthur Hadjiantonakis. Over the last 5 years, Arthur has been my mentor and constant support in expanding my knowledge about commercial construction and managing client expectations. I have been able to develop strong relationships with clients for whom CAPG works across multiple government bodies, authorities, and private developers. This role has provided me with great exposure to a variety of projects, including refurbishments, alterations, additions, demolition, and brand new builds for all clients.

I look forward to exploring new opportunities with your firm and furthering my career toward becoming a project manager. I believe my work ethic and attitude will help grow and sustain your business to greater success.
