I was in charge of ordering and receiving goods for the running and operation of the store. Making sure foods and perishable goods were I date and rotated as needed to avoid things like food poisoning and keeping out product in perfect order/condition for sale. Most of our employees were school aged children between the ages of 13-18 years of age. I’d have to set up and have clear written instructions for them To follow to complete their daily duties.
I was in charge and of setting up the tellers draws and filling the ATM machines with the correct monies and change. I also had to pre approve of when the Armoured guards would have to come when we’d clear the safes out, as we couldn’t have a certain amount of cash on the premises.
One of my main tasks were making sure job seeking participants were job ready with resumes, interview skills, work ready clothing and making sure they were confident within themselves to go through with the whole process in gaining employment.
