Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Management - Identify relevant sustainability metrics and indicators
• Stakeholder Engagement - Identify relevant sustainability metrics and indicators
• Materiality Assessment - Prioritize issues for reporting based on their relevance to stakeholders and the business
• Reporting Framework Alignment - Choose appropriate reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, CDP, SDGs)
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge on industry trends and regulations, ensuring accurate advice was provided to clients at all times.
• Disclosure and Communication

• Implement strategy and approach for enterprise regulatory compliance
• Ensure Shell Downstream SA legal and regulatory compliance – obtaining licences and permits for the operation of petroleum wholesale business
• Perform compliance gap analysis and identify mitigation measures
• Prepare, submit, and obtain approval of tariff applications for petroleum storage and pipeline facilities
• Property development Compliance Officer for a “mixed-use” Estate
• Project lead a Funding strategy development for Council for Scientific and Industrial Research
• Duration of contract / service: 3 Years

• Develop and implement the strategy and reporting framework
• Identify, engage, and manage environmental stakeholders
• Monitor and manage environmental performance in line with Air Quality legislative and regulatory frameworks
• Develop implementation plans in line with Environmental Regulatory Framework of South Africa
• Develop Private Public Partnership strategy for the City
• Advise Management on effective implementation of natural resource monitoring, compliance, enforcement, and environmental impact assessments
• Monitor and manage atmospheric emission licence applications
• Implement risk management, governance, and compliance policy – identifying governance and risk exposure liability and implement mitigation measures
• Manage departmental capital and operational budget
• Duration of contract / service: 5 Years

• Responsible for Group’s Sustainability and Environmental performance and management.
• Application and compliance of environmental authorisations.
• Review requirements of the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Index, Experts in Responsible Investment Solutions (EIRIS) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
• Liaise with operating groups and business units to determine the current status on CDP and determine the Group’s carbon emissions footprint.
• Duration of contract / service: 1 Year

• Developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies and procedures.
• Provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation and supervision of NRF’s operations
