With over 13 years experience in the digital strategy and technology consulting and advisory landscape I cut my teeth in the industry as a software engineer. Although my developer days are long past me I still lean on this technical backbone to ensure I'm always across enough detail to be dangerous when advising my clients or teams on our projects or initiatives.
I've worked in many spaces from building delivery business to developing consulting strategies and digital points of view. I'm currently looking to take my years of experience and focus them in a single customer and industry. Over my career I've worked with a large assortment of clients and businesses. From financial services to energy and utilities. Telecommunications to pharmaceutical.
I'm driven to innovate and think outside the box and expect the same from the teams I work with. I fundamentally believe in data and technology as a core mechanism to enable and drive organisational, operational change as well as customer engagement.
I'm an extremely fast assimilator as would be expected with my consulting experience and I pride myself on being able to grasp new industry processes and KPI's as well as define new ones through enabling technologies quickly.
Moving from PwC to Deloitte post the initial pandemic period I looked to be closer to family in Sydney and utilise my network across the east coast to define and deliver digital initiatives for a predominately Sydney and Brisbane client base.
Focusing in the health sector with PwC and driving a whole of organisation digital transformation for one of WA's largest health services providers, I lead a core team of over 50 service designers, agencies, analysts, architects and developers in a shift from largely antiquated in-house and on-premise platforms to a customer and data centric stack of technologies that more closely aligned to the CEO and boards shifting business priorities.
During my time in the program team my focus included:
Post complete acquisition into IBM through Bluewolf I was able to utilise my financial windfall to launch and promote a mobile start-up focused on mobile marketing and engagement in the fast moving consumer goods and pharmaceutical sector.
Driving a small team we were able to:
Selling services start-up Velteo to Bluewolf in 2013 I continued my role managing, building and mentoring a robust delivery team that was now given a shot in the arm with extended global capacity. Bluewolf was eventually acquired by IBM late in 2015.
We focused on our core strengths from Velteo in being a business initiative driven digital services provider that prided itself on it's technically proficiency with strong partnerships across Apple, Google, Microsoft and Salesforce.
Ultimately building a team that was and still is one of the most known and respected digital transformation agencies in the market.
In 2008 I decided with a partner of mine to create a small consulting agency that focused in the emerging SaaS CRM ecosystem. Driven by Salesforce we developed strong partnerships with Salesforce.com and their associated technology partners.
As one of the only sub-contracting partners to Salesforce.com at the time we built a business and services practice focused on executing digital initiatives for our clients supported by these emerging SaaS vendors.
In 2010 we merged our Hallman consulting practice with Velteo which gave us a significant management consulting edge sales edge and allowed us to expand our business away from pure technology delivery and into the space of advising our clients on creative and unique digital solutions that drove business outcomes. During these years I wore many hats from people leader, co-founder, sales professional, management consultant to technical expert delivering for our clients business initiatives.
