• Provide technical support during facility production, expansion projects, assisting in design and installation of new electrical infrastructure as required.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical components to ensure optimal functionality and prevent unexpected failures.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to develop streamlined processes for addressing electrical and mechanical breakdowns, ensuring maximum productivity.
• Adhere to all OSHA regulations regarding workplace safety concerning electrical work practices.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts and adapting to changing production schedules as needed, maintaining consistently high levels of performance.

• Electrical oversight of construction and commissioning of a newbuild MODU in Cosco shipyard, Nantong, China, prior to it mobilising on multi-year drilling campaigns.
• Supervision and mentorship of National and Expat Electricians in all facets of rig maintenance as well as instilling an ethic for proper and safe electrical practices.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns to maintain rig’s maximum operational utilisation.
• Responsible for maintaining automated drilling equipment, industrial networks and controls, power generation and distribution networks, instrumentation systems, satellite and radio communications, fire detection and suppression systems, gas detection, deck cranes, plant air systems, etc.
• Liaise with onshore management to make improvements in safety and efficiency of electrical and instrumentation systems via the company's Technical Management of Change (TMOC) process.
• Maintain rig’s electrical and instrumentation systems to comply with IEC 60079 series of standards for electrical installations in hazardous locations.
• Actively participate in all of the company's HSE policies.

• Supervision and training of PNG National Electricians.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns and continue to make improvements in safety and efficiency of electrical systems.
• Maintain rig’s electrical systems to comply with AS/NZS 60079(2381) series of standards for electrical installations in hazardous locations.
• Follow, and help implement new, HAES HSES and PPM procedures.

• Management of a team of rig electricians and to be on call to assist with any major technical breakdowns.
• Liaise with Rig and Drilling Superintendents regarding planned maintenance and safety and efficiency improvements.
• Follow, and help implement new, Ensign HSES and PPM procedures.

• Electrical upgrades and modifications of brand new, USA built, rig to comply with Australian Standards.
• Attend to breakdowns and diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults.
• Adhere to WDI’s global Preventative Maintenance program and HSE policies

Construction and maintenance contracts in the mining sector and civil projects, including:

• Rio Tinto’s Hail Creek Coal Mine
• Alcan’s Gove Refinery
• Anglo’s German Creek Coal Mine
• WTP and WWTP construction and upgrades.
• Caltex & BP Refineries

• 5 Year, Dual Trade Apprenticeship
• Learning all aspects of electrical and instrumentation plant maintenance and installations, including power generation & distribution and process measurement & control.
• Attend technical college as required.
