SUPERVISION FOR WAGON BUILD OF BHP IRON ORE CAR MANUFACTURE

Organisation of pre-start meetings

Co-ordinate work crews on day and afternoon shifts

Liaise with client BHP engineers/managers overseeing BHP wagon build project

Organise contractors to move components from laydown yard to workshop including crane crews and HI-AB drivers

Train & supervise lifting of all components for wagons into workshop and within the workshop utilising overhead 50T cranes

Pre-inspection and adjustment of bogies for brake slack adjustment

Co-ordinate all overhead crane movements of wagons from cell to cell of construction assembly line utilising lifting jigs

Organising safety barricading for all overhead lifts

Lifting completed wagons onto and off of wagon rotator
