I have more than 10 years of ICU experience. In this time I have worked in many capacities with the ICU. I have completed multiple associate nurse unit manager rotations, stepped into the role as the ICU liaison and achieved status as a clinical nurse specialist. I branched into the a more operational role as hospital nurse coordinator for approximately 9 years and currently function in this capacity. Recently I have left the intensive care unit and now serve as a care coordinator in the community for the chronically ill patients with complex care issues. I found that these roles enable me to see the patient’s journey from a more wholistic view point and ensuring that gaps are bridged to ensure the optimal outcomes for those in my care. Although I’ve left the acute clinical setting I am eager to re-enter this area as it is truly a passion of mine.
