Abalone diver / scallop diver.

-Commercial wild catch harvesting of abalone and scallops in and around the waters of Kangaroo Island and Streaky Bay.

-Responsibilities include,

1. Regular weather, swell checks and forecasting, to facilitate work days.

2. Daily phone conversation with customers regarding orders, delivery times and ongoing marketing strategies.

3. Organizing logistics with transportation of product to interstate destinations.

4. Data reporting to the relevant government institutions regarding catch rates, catch locations, days worked and digital reporting of all work days activities. Plus water sample testing (monthly) in and around the bays of Kangaroo Island.

5. Management and maintenance of all equipment that includes.

- 7.4 meter boat.

- Regular outboard servicing.

- Upkeep of safety equipment.

- Continuous attention to mechanical reliability of all dive equipment which includes regular inspection of air and hydraulic hoses, bail out bottles, dive cage integrity, air compressor, oil and water levels.

- Trailer maintenance and servicing.

- Truck maintenance and servicing.

- Accounting such as wages and super payments, plus some liaising with my personal accountant.

• Performed general cleaning by sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes and emptying trash.
• Prepared food and beverages and verified adherence of quality and safe food-handling standards.
