PAULINE NHUNZVI

Enthusiastic and results oriented environmental practitioner with 3 years’ experience in climate change management, environmental projects and programmes implementation, environment and social safeguarding, climate financing and stakeholder engagement. I have a passion in building a career cantered on the efficient uses of resources for environmental, developmental and landscape applications. Building on my education in Environment and Climate Change management, I wish to contribute my skills in providing options for development and conservation in this field.

• Coordinated a 500 000USD fund on a project entitled, “Strengthening Knowledge and Capacity to prevent and reduces of Plastic Waste for Zimbabwe and Malawi”, under the Norwegian Government funding with the United Nations Environment Programme, (UNEP).
• The Project Coordinator for Mercury Initial Assessment (MIA) Project in Zimbabwe.
• Successfully led the accreditation of the Environmental Management Agency of Zimbabwe to the UNFCC Adaptation Fund as a National Implementing Entity.
• Appointed as permanent member for the organisation in the Steering Committee for management of chemicals and waste under the Basel, Stockholm and Rotterdam Convention.
• Spearheaded the ratification process for Zimbabwe to become a Party to the Minamata Convention
