As a year 9 student at St Luke's Catholic College, I am currently enrolled in a Stage 6 VET (Vocational Education and Training) Course in Sports Coaching. Throughout this course, I received first-aid training and gained new skills and knowledge that I can use in the future. I have volunteered in a number of events for school, to contribute to my volunteering hours in Sports Coaching.
Basketball has had a significant impact on my life; it is a sport that I am extremely passionate about. I've been playing basketball for around four years and am currently a member of the Penrith Panthers' representative basketball squad. I began playing basketball in 2020, and over the years I've learned a lot and made a lot of friends in the basketball scene. It is a place where I feel like I belong, where I feel secure while I am playing basketball, and where I can be in my zone and make a positive contribution mentally and physically.
Creative Arts is a hobby that helps me to express myself and demonstrate my identity. Using various creative techniques and skills, I am in my happy place and can express all of my feelings through a piece of work. Painting and drawing are my primary artistic abilities. Paintings allow me to communicate my emotions through the colours and textures used in the artwork. In sketching, I use my emotions to create various forms that help me decide what to draw and how it should appear. When I'm struggling mentally, I turn to creative arts to keep me calm and reassured.
