• Palliative Care CB4C - Being part of a palliative care ward allows me to initiate and understand patient requirements after cancer treatments,during cancer treatments and their end of life pathways and become involved with the multidisciplinary team and care plan structure, whilist under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Wound management, medication administration and ambulation assistance are a regular task along with patient transfer, admission and discharge
• Particular clinical skills include patient assessmentand handover using the ISBAR approach,communication,documentation and reporting as per NSW Health and APHRA requirements, infection control, WHS protocols, assisting patients in activities of daily living, mobility, elimination and education processes, along with medication administration safely within the Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) scope of practise, whilst maintaining the core values of the Ministry of Health.
