Summary

I have lived in the Bega Valley area for most of my life and have a very strong connection to the local communities and people both through 20 years of our self operated transport business and numerous sporting clubs and community groups that myself and my family have been involved with. I am not one to stand back and watch, rather jumping in to assist or manage many volunteer roles. I have been involved in a large number of large community functions and fundraisers and enjoy being part of being assistance to those that are doing it a bit tough as I have also had personal experience of being on the other side. I have had many roles as either President, Secretary or committee person in a large number of groups and like to see a job through from start to finish with good outcomes.

Accomplishments

Ran own successful business for 20 years with up to 6 employees .

Life member of both Tathra Junior Rugby League and Senior Rugby League.

Board member of Group 16 Rugby League involved in planning, preparation and execution of holding NRL Matches in Bega with over 7500 people in attendance. Also running local Grand Final days with crowds of around 3500 people.


Volunteer member of Music Festival held at Kalaru racetrack following Tathra bushfires catering to celebrity musicians etc.

Member of Tathra community bushfire recovery group.

Committee member of Tathra Surf Life Saving Club runnin both Junior and Senior Country Championship with around 3000 people per event.

Proudly representing Tathra Rugby League Club as President following the 2018 fires where we rebuilt our Club from scratch, going on to win firstly the NSW Grassroots Club of the Year, followed by the Australian National Grassroots Club of the year. To top it off we then won Tathra’s first Premiership for 66 years.
