  • The State Manager is responsible for the full P&L of the site and both states coupled with full sales responsibility across a multi-division group business in this region. $40m in sales revenue budgeted pa for this role as the highest yielding revenue and profit center for this national organisation. Responsible for the Victorian & national distribution center at 35,000m2 and 80+ staff. This role was conducted in conjunction with my role as GM HVG Manufacturing within HVG.
  • HVG is a diversified wholesale distribution business importing semi-finished goods and on selling to manufacturers, fabricators, etc. to convert into finished goods. Two decades of experience in both high-volume sales management coupled with large-scale and multi-site distribution were both utilized to provide rapid growth and expansion for HVG.

  • With a heavily challenged, declining and shrinking channel to market (independent paint stores), this family owned, and Ballarat based national producer of protective coatings was seeking to take control of their distribution channel through direct company ownership and joint venture partnerships in this space. The introduction and challenges of fiercely competitive corporate hardware distribution and vertically integrated competitor models (Dulux/Inspirations) meant Haymes needed an experienced store network professional to help them improve their company owned assets, to drive innovation, development, growth and profitability in both retail and trade environments.

  • Omvivo is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Schiavello Group of companies. Omvivo is a high-end manufacturer, wholesaler, and designer of elegant and functional bathroomware which was specified and used throughout the Schiavello business, primarily in larger corporate fit outs. The main channel to market for Omvivo was through extensive networks of stores in Australia, New Zealand and internationally (Dubai, UAE, USA, and Europe). At its peak, Omvivo was distributing through 1500 individual stores through Australia and New Zealand. As GM of this business, I had full operational, systems, safety, quality, revenue, P&L, and balance sheet accountability.

  • Employed to drive and collaborate with a professional and cohesive management team to develop the high-end retail arm of the Reece plumbing network. Working with the Reece C-suite to develop and achieve growth and profitability for this sector of the business was critical.
  • All aspects of store development and supply were incorporated into this role, from staff structure and accountability to site identification and acquisitions, destination based digital and 'above the line' marketing programs, to system implementation, in store measuring and auditing. The cohesive integration and cross pollination of retail and trade market segments were critical to the success of the store network being developed.
