I originally travelled to China, to quote on the refurbishment of the Australian Embassy in Beijing, in June 1998, for DFAT department of the the Australian Government, in Canberra. We were awarded the contract in August of that year, and the project went from Oct to Nov that year.
The company I went over to China with decided to open a representative office in Beijing, and I was the legal representative for that company, until 2001. I then opened a Chinese company
and carried out projects all around China until 2017, when I was awarded a contract as the Head of Major Projects, with an international school in Beijing, and have been in that position from 2017 until 2014.
Over that period I was responsible for the completion of all major projects which we carried out between June and August each year, and over the Covid 19 period between 2020 & 2023, we completed projects during Dec/Jan. These were total refurbs of complete buildings or part there of, and had to be completed on time during that period, so the school could function after the holiday periods.
