Affiliations

  • Result driven in all aspects of my life, I speak on how I have badly managed my mental health over the last 50 years from my military service.
  • Currently working two contract employments, conducting Verifications of Competency(VOC) to RACWA Auto Service Centre Staff as well as RACWA Security and RACWA Mobile Tyre Technicians. These VOC's are assessed using The Systems Approach to Training which is centered on a Terminal Objective supported be a number of Enabling Objectives with Performance/Conditions and Standards to measure the performance of the student. The VOCs are conducted on an as required basis from RACWA, sometimes out of normal working hours.
  • The second is as a 'trouble shooter" back up HR, general fix any problem, again as a contractor, to a private company.
  • In 2014 I commenced one week of Defensive Driver Training on gravel and off road for Year 11 students at the WA College of Agriculture Narrogin. This is now an annual training commitment with numbers of around fifty for the week.
  • In 2014 completed a Driver Behaviour Course at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom
  • In 2015 I volunteered to work with SERCO at the Wandoo Reintegration Centre Murdoch, delivering public speaking and small project management skills, this resulted in six inmates organising and delivering the ANZAC Day Service at the centre

  • I was contracted to Investing in our Youth Bunbury to establish the RYDE Driver Training Program, this commitment initiated my development of Campus 51 for youth at risk in the region
  • I initiated a safe driving program at Kwinana Motorplex for parents requiring a non threatening environment to enable their L Plate driver to become familiar with "moving the vehicle through the air". This venue location was made available through a business colleague who was then GM at the Motorplex facility. I was able to use the facility by day and by night to provide a safe driving environment for parents. Unfortunately the Motorplex was purchased by Venues West who could not see value in my service so I closed the project down.
  • I/we support four children and nine grand children, been married for 54 years, my wife is still working as a Registered Nurse

Accomplishments

  • In 1976 I was awarded the British Empire Medal(BEM) for involvement in an avalanche rescue on Mt Cook New Zealand
  • In 1976 my five man New Zealand Army Paramedic team was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for setting a new world record of 48 hours of Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation as it was then
  • In 1979 I was recognized as the only Rally Driver representing Singapore to complete the ASEAN International Rally,finishing 8th overall and 1st in Class, the event covered 14,500 km in fifteen day's.
  • In 2007 I project managed the breaking of a world record and again recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for the longest endless line of cans standing, the final count was 66,350
  • In 2023 I was awarded a WA Heritage Award for Volunteering over thirty years in the community, centered around the rebuild of ANZAC Cottage from 1992 to 2002, the naming of six streets in The Chase Baldivis in 2006 acknowledging the then six Australian servicemen still MIssing in Action and the re build of two bus stops in Mt Hawthorn now named Gallipoli and Nui Dat
