Hi! My name is Peter Shim. I am currently a first-year Bachelor of Nursing student at Griffith University and have been working at Hero Sushi since April 1, 2025. I will commence my first aged care placement on October 1, 2025, which will run until October 16, 2025. After this placement, I will be eligible to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), having completed all required immunisation procedures and certifications. While I understand that I will be officially eligible to work as an AIN after October 16, I am applying now because I would like to gain experience early and contribute to the aged care sector as soon as possible. I come from a family with strong ties to aged care and nursing. My mother-in-law and her sibling both operate aged care facilities in South Korea, and my sister-in-law is a registered nurse. Through them, I have seen first-hand the dedication and compassion required to care for older adults. I am a sincere, hard-working individual with a background in business management, logistics, and healthcare-related volunteer work, and I am committed to becoming a Registered Nurse in Australia.
