Throughout my career at Kypreos Pty Ltd, I have honed my skills in maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including asphalt plants, pavers, bitumen trucks, and more. I have specialised in machinery overhauls, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, ensuring that machinery runs efficiently, and projects stay on track. I have developed a comprehensive understanding of machinery systems, particularly in roadworks, recycling, and heavy haulage industries.

In my current role as Lead Mechanic and Workshop Supervisor, I oversee the maintenance of over 400 assets, manage a team of 12 staff, and work with subcontractors to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Additionally, I led the transition of our maintenance system from paper-based reporting to a fully digitalized platform in collaboration with Will Smith, founder of NOMAD (now Sitemate), to create a user-friendly and efficient software solution for fault reporting, maintenance scheduling, and operational tracking.

I take great pride in leading and mentoring teams, and I have successfully managed staff across multiple areas, including plant operators, truck drivers, utility operators, and laborers. My ability to foster a collaborative environment, and focus on safety and compliance, has been key to maintaining high operational standards and meeting project deadlines.

NOTABLE MACHINERY EXPERIENCE

• Directly supervise a team of 12 mechanics and subcontractors, while overseeing at least 50% of the Kypreos Group's 431 employees, including plant operators, truck drivers, utility operators, laborers, managers, and project managers.
• Managed day-to-day operations of the workshop, coordinating maintenance and repairs for over 400 assets, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
• Specialize in machinery overhauls, including replacing engines, transmissions, conveyor belts, and hydraulic systems on a wide range of equipment, such as pavers, bitumen trucks, spreader trucks, and multi-rollers.
• Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting Finlay-Terex screens and crushers, ensuring optimal performance and preventing costly downtime in roadworks and recycling projects.
• Resolved mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical breakdowns quickly and effectively, providing on-site and on-the-road support for a wide range of projects, including major infrastructure works.
• Led the transition from paper-based maintenance reporting to a fully digitalized platform, working alongside Will Smith (founder of NOMAD, now Sitemate) to design and implement a user-friendly, efficient software solution for maintenance tracking, fault reporting, and scheduling.
• Managed parts inventory, working with suppliers such as Caterpillar, Wirtgen, Bobcat, and others, ensuring cost-effective stock management and timely procurement of critical components.
• Provided expert support during night breakdowns and emergency repairs, ensuring continuity of operations during high-stakes projects and preventing delays.
• Finlay-Terex Screens & Crushers – Overhauled and maintained screens and crushers, ensuring their optimal functionality and efficient operation in roadworks and recycling projects.
• Asphalt Plant & Equipment – Led maintenance and repair efforts for asphalt plants, including dismantling and re-erection of mobile plants, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
• Heavy Plant & Roadworks Equipment – Hands-on experience with a wide range of roadworks machinery, including pavers (Roadtec/Dynapac), bitumen trucks, spreader trucks, and multi-rollers, performing regular maintenance and complex repairs.
