Summary

Accomplished and energetic Trainer and Assessor, who currently develops and delivers engaging Hospitality and Foundation Skills training within a prison setting. The prison setting has sparked a desire for a career change to a role where I am able to work with offenders to attempt to reduce their reoffending rate. My experience teaching and supporting this cohort has equip me with a diverse skill set which I strongly believe would be perfect for this role.

  • Create and maintain relationships with the Indigenous people within the MRC community
  • Provide general support to the Indigenous students as they have ingrained generational trauma that often doesn’t get recognized when they are incarcerated
  • Organise events for NAIDOC week to be celebrated throughout the prison
  • Ensure all Indigenous students have access to education, drug and alcohol support and mental health support
