Design and Drafting timber residential dwellings

Calculated dead load, live load and wind load acting on various elements of a residential dwelling such as lintels, beams, columns, rafters, ridge beams, walls and footing as per Australian Standards AS 1170.0, AS1170.1 and AS 1170.2.

• · Designed and drafted timber and steel structural elements using Australian standards and codes such as AS1720.1 and AS4100.
• · Carried out strength and serviceability analysis of structural elements of Australian Residential Dwellings using engineering software such as SpaceGass and Structural Toolkit.
• · Analysed, designed, and drafted various types of footings used in Australian residential projects using AS2870 according to the requirements of the various site conditions as well as the architectural considerations such as step downs and ups in the floor level, available subfloor height when designing subfloor elements.
• · Drafted timber connection details compliant with AS1720.1, AS1684.2, and AS1684.3. Drafted footing plans and details compliant with AS2870, including the important notes relevant to the founding depth, tree effect, cut and fill impact on site.
• · Local expertise acquired while designing an extension project: Meticulously resolved tree drying issues by comparing the issuance dates of architectural drawings and geological reports, and by analyzing chronological data from Google Maps and obtained written approval from the geotechnical engineer. Demonstrated proper understanding of angle of repose consulted any technical issues via RFI (Request for Information).

Construction Supervision and Interface management of Solukhola Dudhkoshi Hydroelectric project 86MW

• · Adherence to HSE system (Health, Safety and Environment) policies and procedures set down by the company. Proven experience in identifying hazards in the workplace and report to the respective manager.
• · Report all work related injuries or accident reports as soon as practicable and conduct safety meeting in a weekly basis.
• · Manage professional site communication through Emails, Site order books, verbal communication, Site directives, Site measurements, Inspection request as well as Site Meetings.
• · Pro-actively manage and execute variety of civil engineering related projects, including infrastructure, roadway, car park, façade system, lifts, swimming pool, waterproofing, penthouse, Headworks, tunnel lining, Powerhouse, Switchyard, blasting works, earthwork and other architectural finishes.
• · Overseeing the rebar installation process and execute entire process from bar bending schedule to on-site installation and adherence to project specification and additionally conduct thorough inspections and verify quantities to maintain quality and compliance in line with approved drawings and design standards.
• · Experience in working with specified formwork systems, such as the PERI formwork system, and providing prop support in accordance with technical specifications. This includes the striking of formwork as per structural norms and conditions.
• · Oversee concrete works by receiving and inspecting concrete deliveries, checking initial and final setting times, and ordering concrete volumes as per approved drawings while accounting for wastage. Execute and managed various grades of concrete, including M40, M60, high-grade concrete with fiber, and shotcrete. My responsibilities included temperature checks, sampling for approved suppliers and testing companies, co-ordinating third-party testing, and maintaining the pour register on-site.

• · Deft in maintaining quality standards for in process, incoming materials and ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices as well as identifying gaps and taking preventive action.
• · Assist in Review, developing & Implementation of Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), Method Statement, Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Check list etc.
• · Conducting Quality Tool Box prior to start of the construction activities at Site.
• · Monitor the Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Discrepancies and their close-out for the projects internally, and by Client Third Part Inspection Authorities.
