Project Name: Open Banking
Project : Design of Rotor slot of Brushless Exciters
Organization:
Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited
Role: Junior Test Engineer
Description: The project deals with types of excitation systems and why brushless excitation system is adopted universally. This presentation also includes parts of brushless exciter, rotor slot balance calculations and testing. To cater to the various customers requirement of 1.5MW generator to 120 MW air-cooled generators, the type of excitation of the turbo generator rotor, changes according to the need and type of industry. This method of excitation provided is vital to the generator, in which Brushless excitation tops with regard to its performance. I also did the testing of Brushless Exciter which was performed on Brushless Exciter, with ratings-420V, 937A, 3000rpm, 6 pole 377KW. Dynamic and static tests were also conducted.
Trainings
Have taken in plant training in Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), India. Worked practically on the machines and performed testing on the machines which were about to release. Presented a seminar on Protection against High Voltages.
