Designed and implemented a Gym-based simulation environment in Python to model an aerial base station (ABS) with multi-antenna beamforming.
Formulated UAV trajectory and beamforming as an MDP and applied deep RL algorithms (PPO, SAC, DQN via Stable-Baselines3) to jointly optimize flight path and signal transmission.
Achieved significant increase in cumulative downlink throughput for N ground users over 200–300 s missions under given speed (10–30 m/s) and power constraints.
Visualized results with plots of throughput vs. trajectory, training convergence curves, and baseline comparisons.
