• Parts interpreting for a variety of machines including Forklifts, Skid Steer Loaders, Tow Tugs, EWP’s, Excavators, Sweeper/scrubbers
• Providing pricing, parts & technical assistance to the sales & service teams
• Handling customer enquiries, identifying parts and dispatching in a timely manner
• Following up outstanding quotations and purchase orders
• Servicing the technicians’ parts requests as required
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested

• Forecasting goals and objectives of retail shop

• Hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of the parts department managers

• Preparing and administering an annual operating budget for the parts departments

• Monitoring the performance of the departments

• Understanding and ensuring compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedure

• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business

• Handling customer complaints

• Making customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers

• Administering warranty claims, reviews warranty policy adjustments

• Working with parts manager to find way to improve overall profitability of shop

Identifying the make, model and variations of motor vehicles and automotive equipment. Checking catalogues or computer databases to identify and locate the source of required part. Order parts from warehouse and external suppliers. Calculate tax, discounts and prices.
