• During my final year of under graduation, I worked on a project titled ‘Smart Specs: Voice Assisted Text Reading System for a Visually Impaired Person using TTS Method’ Here a specs inbuilt camera was used to capture the printed text and the captured image was analyzed using Tesseract-optical Character Recognition (TCR) The detected text was then converted into speech using a compact open source software speech synthesizer called eSpeak Finally, the synthesized speech was produced by the headphone using the TTS method In this project, the hardware used was Raspberry Pi and software used was Python
