Safety:
Communicating and enforcing safety procedures, driver regulations, and vehicle maintenance practices to a team of fleet controllers, fleet allocators and drivers, ensuring that safety is a main priority and is kept up to a magnificent standard.

Service:
Communicating and implementing service enhancement strategies to the fleet controllers, ensuring that all PUD operations such as pick ups/deliveries are meeting company KPIs, as well as constantly interacting with major & minor customers, prioritising customer satisfaction and maintaining a good relationship by responding to queries & providing logistical and tactical solutions.

Cost:
Working with fleet controllers to manage driver & 3rd party contractor hours, dwell times and general fleet utilisation to reduce unnecessary cost. This includes Prime movers, semis & b-doubles,rigid trucks, vans & tray trucks.

• Managed a small team of fleet controllers in the PM Shift.
• Conducted detailed project reviews to identify areas for improvement in PM Shift and implement necessary changes for future success.
• Skillfully negotiated contracts with suppliers/vendors resulting in cost savings without compromising quality or service levels.
• Overseeing of day to day PUD Operations in the PM Shift.

Running a fleet of vehicles, organising timetables and schedules and making sure vehicles are ready when required, as well as running a team of in-house company drivers and OSH group of contractor drivers.

- Managing operations of 40 trucks, 30 trailers and 35 drivers.
- Extensive knowledge in produce transport.
- High knowledge of all transport safety initiatives.
- Day to day fleet management including equipment assessments and fleet service monitoring.
- Ensuring company KPI’s are met.

- Gatehouse duties and access control.
- Freight audits and random searches.
- Patrols by car and foot.
- Extensive use of Microsoft Excel for data entry.
- Use of Trans-it and tour scheduling.
- Preparation of DGs paperwork, LPAs and LSPAs.
