  • July - November (32 hours / 16 weeks)
  • Fast paced treatment, in a public health setting.
  • High volume of relief of pain treatment, namely extractions and extirpations.
  • Observed and treated (under supervision) adults and children under general anaesthesia.
  • Spent time among regional Tasmania, exposing myself to the environment and culture.

James Cook University Dental, Townsville

  • January – June (32 hours per week, 18 weeks)
  • Exposure to newer technology such as digital intra-oral and extra-oral radiography, as well as rotary endodontic systems.
  • Comprehensive examination of patients, high volume of restorations, fixed prosthodontics, and removable full and partial prostheses.
  • Became fully self-sufficient, as dental assistants were not available chairside.
