  • They are unable to live at their home due to health reasons and are often lonely.
  • I have a camaraderie with this individual who are delighted to discuss various ideas with me, which they find unable to share with others at the facility.
  • We engage in art activities, which they prefer, while also discussing their favourite authors and their works.

  • My current role involves working on three projects, out of which two are case summaries projects.
  • The third is an editing project which requires careful editing and proofreading of Chinese documents sent by the clients.
  • One of the summary projects is UK based which entails authoring original digests and summaries; interpretation and analysis; and topical classification of various cases.
  • The second case summaries project is strictly confined to tax-related cases.
  • Prior to these, the first project that I began working on at Exactus was Deposition summaries under Litigation support.
  • I was off-reviewed within a month and I also authored the user manual for this project, along with training 3-4 people who began working on the project.

  • Company Overview: Lawyers Collective (Women’s Rights Initiative) is a group of lawyers working under the direction of Ms. Indira Jaising (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India). LCWRI provides legal aid to underprivileged women facing violence in their homes or their workplace.
  • My role was to manage and supervise the entire Mumbai Unit of the LCWRI.
  • The role also comprises of giving legal aid and advice to women facing domestic violence, representing them in the Court, drafting the petitions.
  • Overall supervision of the Mumbai Unit legal as well as administration.
  • Supervising the functioning of the survivors’ group, a group of women who suffered domestic violence and have survived and managed to come out of it.
  • It is bimonthly meeting of these women who discuss their problems and also talk about how they are now dealing with their lives.
  • Working on the project of the implementing of the new Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (PWDVA).
  • Major part in the process of the data collection throughout the country for the purpose of the evaluation of the effectiveness of this Act.
  • Visited around 8-9 states, collected the data under PWDVA by arranging meetings with various advocates, NGOs, Protection Officers, and provided training on PWDVA to various groups of lawyers, police and NGOs throughout the country.
  • Working on the National conference held in October 2007 on the implementation of the PWDVA.

  • I was responsible for client counseling, drafting the pleadings, and representing the clients in the District and High Court in Delhi.

  • Involved in a collaborative effort with the CAW Cell, Nankapura in providing legal counseling to the parties and complainants approaching the Cell.
  • This involved weekly visits to the CAW Cell and follow up of cases in Court if required.
  • Involved in extensive research on Laws relating to Sexual Harassment at the Workplace and Domestic Violence in different jurisdictions all over the world.
