  • i have been working as a steel cutter and driller at safetech for 12 months now. i have managed to develop the real work ethic at a young age (16). i worked as a team with 2 other members in my area. i also worked outside of steel cutting, i helped out in fabrication, painting and assembly.
  • in steel cutting i learnt how to read drawings of measurements and angles and all the different types of steel
  • with drilling it was more technical. the same as stel cutting i had to measure and find the centre to drill a whole. in this process i used tools like, square, scribe, centre puncture and the drill. i also had to learn about the drill speeds and drill bit sizes
