Hi im a mum of 3, with my eldest being a child high needs ID, ASD level 3 child. He is in year 2 and has attended woody point special school since 2 years old from playgroup & EDCP. I am also an active parent being the new P&C treasurer of the school learning all sorts of new accounting skills. Over the past few years iv learnt a lot around disabilities, not only through my son but also in my prior workplace. Im very familiar with PODD book and prolo2go & Lamp using them daily at home for communication. Attending many therapy sessions with my child over the years i have done a lot of parenting courses under NDIS including Speech and behavioural courses.
I have taught disabilities one on one in the pool with also including within group lessons. It has taught me the patience, passion and skills for strong inclusion of disabilities, alongside skills of teaching and assisting. After 10 years in the pool teaching, assessing and studying nursing I am looking for a change in careers with continuing my passion for working with disabilities.
Learning data base entry, math and accounting skills. Using ideas from staff and parents for dispersing the funds within the school appropriately and putting plans into action. Outsourcing, volunteering my time willingly to help the school be the best it can be.
