• Maintained thorough and accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments and interventions including scribing for significant trauma, rapid deteriorations and intubations
• Well developed time management skills applied to a tertiary emergency department
• Appropriate prioritisation of patient cares and ability to delegate patient cares accordingly
• Competent in providing care for paediatric patients ranging from minor treatments and to resuscitative level interventions
• Educating and assisting new starters including graduates and nursing students in providing emergency care at a tertiary level
• Well established and ongoing development of knowledge and skills pertaining to subspeciality areas and critical care
• Independently team leading multiple areas of the Emergency Department whilst managing staff of varied knowledge and abilities
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate collaboratively with appropriate medical and allied health care teams
• Ensuring patients and family have strong understanding of patient condition and diagnosis prior to discharging from the health service
• Able to de-escalate and appropriately address patients and families demonstrating elevated behaviours
• Ability to build strong rapport with all aged patients and provided on-going education regarding their medical conditions, diagnostic tests, procedures and likely direction of care

• Pre-operative assessment and patient preparation
• Post operative monitoring, and management of arterial compression bandages
• ECG interpretation and escalation to appropriate medical professionals when changes occur
• Successful execution of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation of patients in lethal heart rhythms
• Working autonomously, team nursing and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a large ward
• Educating and ensuring families have an adequate understanding of the patient diagnosis, medication management, follow up care and signs of deteriorations to facilitate successful patient discharges
• Well developed PIVC insertion and PICC access and management
