Rebecca Zhang

A driven professional with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of New South Wales and coursework completed toward a Master of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney. I bring hands-on experience from my roles as a Medical Intern at Pfizer in Shanghai, where I contributed to real-world drug research, and a Student Pharmacist at Chemist Warehouse, where I developed strong patient care skills. Additionally, I have experience in marketing and communications from my internship in Shanghai, creating social media strategies and supporting customer engagement. I am skilled in clinical study management, medication assessments, and team collaboration, with a proven ability to adapt to dynamic work environments. I am now seeking to leverage my clinical research and pharmacology expertise as a Clinical Research Associate with AstraZeneca, contributing to impactful, patient-centric research.

THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY PROJECT: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF DEPRESCRIBING MEDICATIONS IN OLDER ADULTS (prepare for publication) 

- Developed two hypothetical case studies focusing on older adult patients using high-risk medications, evaluating both the continuation and deprescribing of these medications. 

- Applied a life cycle assessment approach to assess the environmental and health system cost-benefit implications of deprescribing versus continuing medication use. 

- Contributed to the creation of case vignettes used in educational settings and potentially published in professional pharmacy or research journals.
