Dedicated and experienced Medicine Program Tutor seeking a tutor position in education. With experience in curriculum development, student mentorship and clinical skills teaching and assessment, I have been dedicated to fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Currently I hold a casual position at Bond University and also hold 10 years nursing experience working in critical care areas including Intensive Care, Emergency and the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
● Completed a 12 month postgraduate program in Intensive Care Nursing and caring for the acute spinal patient
● Facilitated new student nurses to the Intensive care unit
● Confidently care for new admissions into ICU including patients with invasive and non invasive ventilation using the SERVO-U and PB840 ventilators
● Set up monitored life support equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, transducer, pressure lines, oxygen delivery devices, mechanical ventilators and pulse oximeter
● Titrate medications including inotropes and anesthesia
● Monitor patients’ progress and alert treating physicians when sudden changes occur that calls for emergency intervention
● Confidently transport ventilated patients for urgent diagnostic treatment
● Changed dressings, bathed patients and provided post mortem care
● Deliver regular updates to patients and family members
● Evaluated patient lab data results to determine whether an emergency intervention was necessary

● I chose to go on a 4 month secondment to consolidate my learning and experience community patient care.

● Work collaboratively with healthcare colleagues to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate evidence- based educational programs for staff and patients.
● Provide care for patients with post acute wound care including VAC dressings and PICC line dressings and post surgical wounds.
