I started performing on a stage when my Mum decided a 3-year-old me might enjoy it, considering my grandfather was an actor. That one small decision of having me do nursery rhymes on stage slowly but surely transferred into acting becoming the keystone in my life. At the age of 6, I joined Drama Queens Studio, which has since become one of the very few places I feel I can truly be myself. The studio has given me more than just the ability to hone my performance capabilities, it has also given me friends, mentors, and a place to go when I am at my lowest. Being at the studio gave me the courage to start auditioning for performances with Bundaberg Players Incorporated, when in 2018 I finally secured my first taste in acting in the production of High School Musical. My favourite role I have played was my first role in a straight play, playing Anthony Marston In the production of "And Then There Were None". I learned so much from being in such an experienced cast, that I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to perform with. This was only possible because my Mum let me pursue my passion instead of forcing me into a career I didn't want. I owe everything I do on stage to her.
I want to study acting at the QUT so I can have the ability to transform this experience of amateur theatre into something that is of professional quality. I want to be able to create a career in the passion that my mother let me explore, and assist in her being able to retire. I believe that is the least I could do to repay her for everything she has done for me.
