My job as a farmhand was 3 afternoons a week and some saturdays, on school holidays i always had a system which was 7 working days and 7 holiday days. This job taught me how to work alone and how to ensure an employer that I can be trusted by myself in a work environment. When working this job I was working quite remotely and a long way from the shed where my boss was located most of the time this meant that i had to learn to problem solve quickly because if things were to go wrong I needed to be able to sort it out before I could continue.
The reason for leaving this job was purely so i could focus on school and get my grades right for my end of year result.
The reason for applying for a new job is because i believe i will benefit from interacting with a new group of people on a regular basis, as i am going to university next year and i will need to step outside my comfort zone.
I Carried out daily and regular tasks like slashing, spraying, soil tilling all in which required to me to problem solve and work diligently by myself. I was trusted to work alone and operate expensive equipment without damaging property or crops.. During the planting season I was the operator of tractors transporting cane to the planter and sometimes the harvester. I was also able to operate machinery and equipment under the control of GPS and carry out lengthy tasks alone.
I also carried out maintenance operations on all machinery including tractors, harvesters and farm equipment.
I Worked alone to carry out irrigation tasks to water crops.

Going fishing or even just out on the water is one of my favourite things, I regularly do this (weather permitting) with a few mates around the islands. Camping is another activity I enjoy weather on a beach or inland I enjoy being outdoors.
