Organizing freight into correct bays, keeping work area tidy. Communicating via RT (radio transmission) to direct traffic safely.

While working at the Pukenui Pasific Restaurant I was
required to work as a kitchen hand. I would work long
shifts during the peak season and proved that I could
work well under pressure and at a quick and efficient
speed. I am confident in working alone however, I enjoy
working as a team just as much. During my time at the
Pukenui Pasific Restaurant my duties included;
• Food Prep
• Food Safety
• Taking Orders
• Dishes
• Till Work
• Deep frying
• Grill
General cooking duties (fried eggs, steaks, toasties,
wraps ect)
• Staff Training

I worked with my boss doing various things such as working on vehicles, working on building sites and building sheds and houses. We would put together metal framework at our work site, and I was given the responsibility to run a team of 3-4 people. I was also in charge of how we loaded the trucks and trailers that were used to pick up the framework. I also operated a forklift at this job.

During my time as carpenters trade assistant I was
required to operate power tools in a safe and
responsible manner. I was confidant working alone and
was left unsupervised with tasks which I was able to
complete at a professional standard. I have experience
with most building tasks such as building small cabins,
building decks, skirtings, insulations, jib boarding,
operating power tools, digging holes,
concreting/cementing small areas and many more
handy jobs. I am a quick learner and I am able to use
commonsense.
