Volunteer Experience

In 2013 I became a Foster parent to an 11yr old girl and a 5 day old baby girl. During my time as a Foster parent it was always important to me that quality carers where recognized as part of a team who had the child's needs at the forefront of their role. For Foster carers, Foster care agencies, Social workers, Child Safety Department and the child's family, working together as a team was the only way to obtain a successful outcome for all those involved, including the child. It pleases me to say, we achieved this and both girls were returned to their families almost 2yrs later.
