  • 1988 - 1996 Payroll / GST Auditor. My job entailed both proactive and reactive duties involving the auditing of PAYE and GST taxes – ensuring compliance with tax legislation and statutes, ensuring taxpayers fully understood their legal obligations and enforcing legislation when they failed to comply.
  • 1996 - 2005 Debt collector. My final years with the IRD were in the Debt Collection area, recovering tax debts, setting up instalment arrangements and proceeding with legal action to recover any outstanding monies when default occurred i.e., preparing Statement of Accounts, Notice of Proceedings, receivership, and liquidations notices. Actioning of "rev reports" for any and all matters pertaining to PAYE, FBT and ACC.
