  • A crucial role in driving member satisfaction, promoting membership growth, and enhancing the overall engagement of CPA Australia's diverse professional community. Part of this role was to managed the delivery of the Public Practice Program Virtual Classroom series. This series consisted of both virtual and face to face classrooms.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively communicate with members, deliver value-added services, and foster strong relationships with CPA.
  • Provide guidance, support and knowledge to ensure a consistent delivery of events.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure efficient and effective support services. To assist my team I would compile monthly reports of my findings to support the changes needed to marketing and communications to ensure a better outcome for our members.
  • Undertake ongoing analysis of practice management trends and benchmarks to assist to develop, share good practice and supporting educational activities. This was completed through research on competitors and accounting news publications.
  • Develop the pipeline of future Public Practice Certificate holders. Each month after the delivery of the Program workshop, I would personally make contact with each member to provide further information on their next steps in the journey to becoming a certificate holder. This was via phone calls and also emails to follow up on information.

  • The primary function of this role included leading and developing the divisional events team to deliver outstanding member events across CPA Australia.
  • Defining the scope work associated with the events, outlining key roles and responsibilities, delegating to the event executive group appropriately and overseeing event execution. This including working with the leadership team across Australia and New Zealand. We delivered over 2000 events per year.
  • Day to day management of the events team in NSW by fostering an open, team-oriented work environment. With a team of four Event Coordinators, this position managed all events within both NSW and ACT to deliver both virtual and face to face events. Including multiple day events, Certificate ceremonies, specific industry workshops along with business lunches and breakfasts.
  • Drive State based events calendar in line with member and divisional expectations, with a national and consistent focus. Including writing event briefs including learning outcomes and marketing communications. A monthly events newsletters was also part of our communication. This was circulated to the whole business to keep them informed about events both past and upcoming and important updates to policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the National events calendar alongside other state-based team leaders and ensure smooth delivery of all CPA Australia events including divisional events, conferences, learning and development training, business development events and ad hoc events.

  • Primary responsibility was to manage the end-to-end process of organising events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and networking functions.
  • Pre, during and post delivery tasks for all onsite event activity – including administration, presenter management, backend build of webinars, using WebEx Events including presenter training and set up.
  • Financial and management reporting. All events had a budget allocation. To ensure the budgets were adhered too, various cost saving opportunities were identified and negotiated with suppliers.
  • Develop and contribute to initiatives that drive improvement by offering constructive and timely feedback, identification of issues and opportunities. This was captured in a post event report that all stakeholders contributed too with a PIR meeting held to go through this report and formally close out the event.
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholder groups and colleagues. Regular work in progress meetings were held with all stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
