Summary

In the past five years in have learned a grate deal about residential construction and building work and have gained a large amount of knowledge on the subject. Some of this includes establishing building sites, reading and interpreting building plans, grounds works and excavation, construction and deconstruction of timber framed buildings and dwellings, cladding and roofing systems, interior finishing.

I also have large understanding of hand and power tools and all their uses and much more.

I am currently working at Watcon building and construction as a qualified tradesmen.

All work been undertaken is residential new builds.

My job role includes reading and interpreting building plans, using a large range of hand tools and power tools and working with and along side apprentices.

  • I started at Adam Construction in September 2019 on a 90 day trial to see if they would like to take me on as an apprentice. In January 2020 I began my apprenticeship and in May 2023 I was signed off. In the last four years I have taken on a various range of work from new builds, large and minor renovations, decks, patios, exterior renovations, pole and steel framed sheds and much more. The wide range of work has helped me grow a large range of trading knowledge. Some of my responsibility's included running jobs, maintaining and operating work vehicle and managing apprentices.

  • At this time I was working for a solo builder who was contracting out to a commercial building company (Personal Touch). Most of the work was wall framing and line.
