Summary

As a Christian minister I am passionate about seeing believers grow in their love and sacrificial worship of Christ, and helping the gospel to go out into the nations through church ministry. I have two decades of ministry experience, and have now served in full-time ministry for fifteen years. I have a wide variety of ministry experience, working within teams, leading teams, and starting new ministries across all ages and stages of life. I trust in God’s sovereign goodness over all ministry, and seek to serve Him prayerfully, with humility, wisdom and enthusiasm.

Work History

Senior Minister

Point Church Anglican
01.2014 - Current
  • In 2014 the Parish of Concord North was created, to which I was appointed Senior Minister (Rector), and as such am responsible for overseeing all ministry areas of the church.
  • I planted Point Church with a group of young adults, maturing them and training them in ministry and evangelism
  • I seek to faithfully teach God’s word each Sunday, preaching both exegetically and topically to engage the heart of listeners
  • My role is highly relational, offering support, encouragement, friendship and leadership to a wide variety of people, including staff, those in leadership roles, church members, the local community of all age groups

Fellowship Leadership

Evangelism and New Churches (Point Church)
01.2013
  • As Point Church grew I was appointed as ‘Fellowship Leader’ under the direction of the ENC director (Rev Bruce Hall).
  • I led the church through a period of of significant change, developing new ministry frameworks as we moved from an organic style of ministry to a more necessary structured style due to church growth
  • Overseeing and assisting church members as two churches merged (Christ Church Canada Bay with Point Church)

Subject Tutor - 'Intensive Ministry Reflection'

  • In their Ministry subject at Moore Theological College students spend time in small groups growing in self-awareness and relational awareness, for which I was a tutor. This role involved:
  • Facilitating students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd years in skills of personal reflection in a ministry context
  • Aiding growth in self-awareness and relational awareness
  • Preparing students for resilience in future ministry

Assistant Minister

Concord West with Concord North (Concord Community Anglican Church)

  • As Assistant Minister I sought to serve humbly and with enthusiasm, my roles involving:
  • Responsibility for growing and teaching the evening congregation of young adults, this including discipleship and training for future ministry
  • Overseeing evangelism across the parish, which I did primarily by enabling opportunities for relationship within the community, and motivating and training church members to evangelise
  • In 2010 we began meeting with others in the community with a view to plant a new church, which was done in early 2011.
  • Some skills required for leading a church plant were thinking strategically about growth, gathering a diverse group of people and uniting them under a common gospel vision, releasing church members to use their gifts in creative ways

  • I was part of a vibrant and rapidly growing university ministry that required innovative and unified thinking from the ministry team
  • I was given oversight to plant and shape a young adult’s congregation, which involved recruiting and training new leaders, organising weekly services, and encouraging outreach
