  • Company Overview: Working across disability programs nationally to transition the organisation to the NDIS market, focusing on ICT systems, culture, and practice changes.
  • Leading the Disability Reform Unit responsible for developing the policies and procedures to align the organisation with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission.
  • Overseeing a team of staff who provided a centralised team to respond to questions from across the organisation about NDIS business rules and their interpretation and implementation.
  • Preparation for the Disability Royal Commission into Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation.
  • Led the service delivery component of the development of an end-to-end software solution to increase efficiency and ensure claimed support. It included inquiry, quote, service agreement, rostering, cost capture, claiming, and reconciliation.
  • Led the client satisfaction survey from the development of the survey through to reporting to the Board with recommendations for service improvement.
  • Led a pilot project to establish self-directed teams. This required international research, the development of training, policies and procedures, and recommendations to the Board regarding the viability of the program for LWB.
  • Established the Covid Response Unit, which worked nationally to develop protocols and manage contacts through to coordinating the response to positive cases.
  • Working across disability programs nationally to transition the organisation to the NDIS market, focusing on ICT systems, culture, and practice changes.
  • Self-directed teams were not recommended as there was a fundamental culture clash between the way the organisation operated and its appetite for risk.
  • Establishing a COVID Response Unit for over 10,000 staff, clients (and their families), and foster carers was perhaps the most challenging project undertaken.

  • Responsible for the management of 20 million dollars and approximately 280 employees.
  • Acted as the Executive Director for Client Services nationally and covered periods of leave for State Directors in New South Wales, Victoria, Northern Territory and Queensland.
  • Responsible for the operations of client services across the Out of Home Program (foster care and residential care), Youth Mental Health Services, Disability Programs, education support program, and immigration services for unaccompanied minors (1st year).
  • Implementation of Tasmanian Business Plans and contribution to the National Strategic Plan.
  • Manage and meet growth targets of 20% per annum.
  • Collaborate with centralised services located in the state and across other jurisdictions.
  • The State Director is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of all the Tasmanian services.
  • Within the first year, it generated the first surplus budget that Tasmania had ever had.
  • Closed the centre-based day support program and replaced it with community-based activities.
  • Ceased the use of agency staff.
  • Reformed the Children and Family service and introduced new qualifications standards for people working in roles that recruited, assessed and monitored Foster Carers.
  • Implemented the CARE model into residential services for children.
