  • Turnaround role, engaged to reinvigorate vision, brand identity and value proposition of QT, restructuring HO and reworking business models to restore profitability and enable growth;
  • Set and executed a new strategic direction for 9 hotels representing $220M in annual revenue and $700M in assets, focusing on digital and F&B to uplift brand and operational performance;
  • Developed and managed operating structures for finance, sales, PR, marketing, F&B, culinary and revenue management, embedding processes to align efforts and improve efficiencies;
  • Led the design, development and launch of new hotels including JVs and M&A opportunities, leveraging lateral thinking and commercial acuity to direct architect and development teams;
  • Provided leadership to 16 management level direct reports and 2,000 employees across the QT portfolio, partnering with HR leaders to strengthen human capital and brand culture;

  • Set the benchmark for what is now one of Australia's most loved and dynamic hotel brands with the launch of the flagship QT Sydney in 2012, offering a personalised guest experience;
  • Returned to grow QT Sydney into a leader in the lifestyle hotel segment in Australia and the most awarded hotel of its kind, voted Best Hotel for Travel and Leisure 2017, among others;
  • Delivered F&B revenues of +$300K per week within 8 weeks of opening , engaging audiences via innovative design, outstanding restaurants and bars, and a distinct service culture;
  • Managed complexities of converting historic Gowings and State Theatre buildings to install an Italian cafeteria, a late night drinking destination and a European style brasserie restaurant.

Delivered outstanding results for Rydges owned hotels and grew assets under management, understanding profit levers, building teams and being creative in problem solving;

Led out-of-the-ground development and launch of Rydges Sydney Airport, the first hotel in the international terminal , offering 318 rooms and feature runway views of the airport.
