I am currently a full-time university student studying at The University of Queensland. I completed secondary school whilst attending a boarding school and lived at an all-boys college in Brisbane during2023. being a past boarding student myself, I understand the critical role boarding master take part in a boarder’s journey, which would be such a rewarding and great role that I would be eager to take part in. I have experience in a couple of occupations as listed below and willing to always learn new skills. I consider myself a hard-working employee who is enthusiastic, reliable, and organised.

Warehouse Worker

Ingham Celebrations
  • I have worked at the Ingham Celebrations for4 years during the school holidays when I would return from boarding school
  • I would stock beer, wine and spirit shelves with stock whilst also helping customers find the drinks they were looking for
  • During my time in the shops, I learnt how to help customers in a range of moods and dealt with customers of all ages
  • I would also work in the warehouse stocking shops and events from time to time
  • This would involve me going to the warehouse with multiple lists, filling the supply van, and dropping the stock off at specific destinations
  • This job required me to work5 days a week from8am to4pm

Fruit Picker

Pinnacle Hill Lychees
  • At Pinnacle Hill Lychees I was required to pick fruit in the cooler hours of the day, starting at5am and working continuously until9am
  • After picking was done, I worked in the packing room which was a large cold room full of workers
  • There were many different stations that required continuous hard and efficient work to ensure that the job was done to a high standard
  • Everyone involved in the process had to demonstrate good communication skills and a positive attitude as we relied on each other to ensure a high-quality packing session

  • I am currently working as a shift manager at Guzman Y Gomez (GYG) where I run shifts while I am on duty
  • This role requires me to acquire a vast range of skills and responsibilities
  • I am the person who must provide answers to questions from all workers and customers which requires a lot of problem solving and leadership
  • I also must maintain a clean workplace whilst providing top quality products and services whilst ensuring all customers are satisfied with their experience
