Bunnings Group Limited, trading as Bunnings Warehouse is Australia & New Zealand's leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products such as gardening and indoor furniture & hardware. In the current role I manage Australia wide (over 450 stores) Bunnings assets in a team of 4.

• Prepare and analyse monthly financial transaction records
• Maintain and control the fixed asset register ensuring all asset are recorded accurately in a timely manner
• Assist with the preparation of annual financial audit, budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Maintain key business relationships with appropriate stakeholders
• · Ensure asset acquisition, disposal and transfer are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure depreciation is run as per the monthly timetable
• Assist with timely and accurate reporting of Company’s Fixed assets:

(i) Reconciliation of Capital Works in Progress and other asset accounts

(ii) Assist with monthly statutory reporting in line with Wesfarmers requirements; and

(ii)Reconciling Fixed Assets Registers to General Ledgers

• Calculation of staff leave entitlements, including long service leave as required
• Processing of new employee’s and calculation of termination benefits
• Interpretation and application of awards and enterprise agreement
• Ensure the ATO and Superannuation payments are paid within the required time frames
• End of financial year payroll processing. Including the balancing and production of payment summaries through STP
• Balance all payroll ledger accounts, including the posting of all payroll related journals
• Maintained confidentiality of employee records and payroll information.

• Audit item signs for correct item, description, price and rebate information
• Review weekly reports of negative inventory counts, items in stock without sales and item markdown
• Research and audit accrued merchandise payables and adjust stock
• Evaluate inventory management procedures and recommend improvements to the management
• Monitor inventory transactions and report any irregularities
• Prepare reports on inventory accuracy and discrepancies

• Managing debtors balance within approved terms and report any overdue debts
• Ensure all outstanding debtors account are collected within the specified trading periods
• Reconcile financial transaction records, issue invoices and prepare receipts when the accounts are paid off
• Assist in the implementation of best practice financial internal controls, policies, and processes
• Daily, weekly, monthly finance reports including P&L reports and cash flow forecasting maintenance
