  • Completed my apprenticeship with GID Electrical, and qualified as an A Grade since October 2023.
  • GID Electrical do commercial and industrial work having contracts with tier 1 builders (John Hollond KBR, BMD) and tier 2 builders (Buildcorp)
  • During my apprenticeship I started out on the commercial side, completing office fit outs and apartment refurbishments in the CBD. After 2 years I transitioned to industrial sites, completing new installs on Melbourne Water treatment plants (Eastern Treatment Plant, Western Treatment Plant and Winneke Treatment Plant) .
  • Completed my apprenticeship and qualified as A grade in October 2023
  • Recently appointed as a foreman at the start of April 2024, managing my first job and being responsible for three A Grades and one apprentice.
  • Main areas of expertise acquired whilst working on industrial sites include:

- Unistrut, Steel conduit and Tray work

- HV Switchgear and transformers

- Industrial Main LV switchboards, PLC cabinets

- UPS

- Reading Electrical Drawings, schematics, Wiring, Line and Block diagrams

- Commissioning new installs

- PVC underground conduits

- Various industrial equipment including Motors, VSDs, Actuated valves, Flow and pressure transmitters.
