Project site :- Glencore Koniambo mine at New Caledonia

The Koniambo mine is a large mine in the north of New Caledonia in the North Province. It is closest to the small town of Voh, on the west coast of the island. Nickel is found on the Koniambo Massif, and taken by conveyor to a new smelter on the coast. Koniambo has one of the largest nickel reserves in New Caledonia, with around 151 million tonnes of ore grading.

Duties

• Tracked test reports and failures determined by root cause data trends.
• Reviewed, evaluated, and identified requirements for testability.
• Develop maintenance strategies incorporating work management plans, schedules, task lists and associated work instructions to support execution and planning teams.
• Align and standardise CMMS master data to client master data design standards.
• Ensure compliance with work plans and statutory and legislative requirements.
• Design best practice maintenance strategies for optimal safety, productivity, and operating costs of processing plant equipment (Total Equipment Strategies).
• Assess plant equipment criticality & risk levels to production/safety/environment.
• Implement sound risk mitigation strategies through cost-effective preventative maintenance principles.
• Align equipment maintenance requirements with industry best practices & OEM recommendations.
• Develop work maintenance instruction templates.
• Create equipment BOM lists & recommended spares stock requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to the AME Inspection teams.
• Developed and maintained test and evaluation strategies for testing to show operational readiness and suitability with planned project decision points.
• Provided technical advice to improve quality of engineering practices.
• Complete equipment Strategy review and optimisation.

Duties

• Quickly learned new skills and applied them to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
• Carried out day-day-day duties accurately and efficiently.
• lead and support investigations into asset failure and performance, including root cause analysis(RCA) on HME Fleet Haul trucks, Dozer,Loaders, Rear Tippers etc.
• Leverage equipment performance data to successfully identify and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Recommend and implement tactics designed to support high levels of asset safety, reliability, and integrity.
• Monitor and analyses the performance of our assets and review primary/ secondary maintenance tasks to improve asset reliability and cost
• Execute both technical and process-based projects derived to improve the performance of the fleet.
• Provide technical engineering support to the site maintenance and execution teams
• Actively contribute to asset strategy by developing asset lifecycle plans, forecasting availability and zero-based budgets for mobile equipment
• Analysis and reporting on equipment performance – MTBF, MTTR, OEE etc.

Duties.

• Carried out all machinery equipment preventive and predictive for maintenance purposes within the required time.
• Responsible for maintaining and managing the availability and utilizing machinery under the budgeted costs.
• Conducting regular checks and confirming the equipment was in working condition before engaging it in production.
• Responsible for making quarterly budgeting, forecasting availability, ECS, EMS, and other reports on the productivity of the equipment.

• Managed the spare inventory 1.35% as per total of asset value.
• Erection & Commissioning of batching plant M1-60Cum Schwing Stetter.
• Log sheet entry, reservation of fuel order, running maintenanceorder, breakdown maintenance order, preventive maintenance order,commissioning & decommissioning notification prepared in SAP.
