As Agency Growth Director for 72andASunny APAC I am responsible for leading new business initiatives and growing our roster of key client partners.


Responsibilities:


  • Pursuing new business opportunities for the agency via networking, industry events and targeted reach.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their specific business challenges and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Forming strong relationships with 3rd party 'Pitch Consultancies' to ensure that 72andSunny are always included in pitching shortlists for relevant tier 1 clients.
  • Tracking and reporting of new business metrics via our CRM tool and adjusting strategies where necessary to meet and exceed goals.
  • Building and maintaining a high volume sales funnel of leads to ensure continuous progression for the agency.
  • Attend industry events for networking purposes.
  • Compile thought leadership articles for industry publications where necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues inside the agency to foster a culture of collaboration, optimism and creative problem solving.

  • Developed and launched a new business pipeline that led to onboarding 5 new clients from cold reach out in first 12 months. Revenue value >$2 million.
  • Instigated and cultivated close relationships with many high profile prospective clients from cold outreach (NIKE, FOXTEL, Carsales.com, IAG, Qantas, Tourism Australia and many more)
  • Built relationships with pitch consultants to help unlock live pitches (MLC, Treasury Wines, The LOTT, RACQ, Goodman Fielder, Colorbond etc)
  • Established relationships with influential industry stakeholders enhancing the agencies credibility in market.

I Co-Founded Beachfox with my wife in 2019. Our goal was to disrupt the SPF market in Australia by creating a new and innovative sunscreen brand that makes daily application a pleasant experience rather than a chore.


Responsibilities (include but not limited to)


  • Evaluated market trends and conducted research to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decision making.
  • Sourced and collaborated with key partners to concept and create the Beachfox brand, tone of voice and values.
  • Secured production deals with Australian based SPF manufacturers.
  • Navigated complex legal requirements to ensure compliance with industry regulations (TGA) while minimizing risk exposure for the business.
  • Developed marketing materials and campaigns to boost brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Grew the customer base through targeted outreach and strategic PR
  • Negotiated high profile retail partnerships including, Seafolly, Sephora, Priceline, The Iconic and Budgy Smuggler.
  • Secured sponsorship deals including, Aqua Rugby, Beach Volleyball NSW, Australian Beach Tennis, Surfing NSW, SurfTag and restore the Reef Foundation.

  • Successfully created and launched a completely new SPF brand despite no prior experience in the category.

I am dedicated family man and father of 2 amazing girls (Bonnie 5 & Imogen 3) and currently reside in the beautiful Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. My interests outside of work are varied, I'm a keen mountain biker these days, a poor surfer and a worse golfer however I generally take great pleasure in all outdoor and sporting activities. 

I am hugely passionate about Beachfox which is a family sunscreen business my wife and I started together nearly 6 years ago and continue to operate today and the learnings taken from that experience have been both numerous and invaluable.

I am a naturally social person and take real pleasure in making new acquaintances both in a work environment and everyday life. I am a proud Scot and a rugby union fanatic and I am ever the optimist (which is a prerequisite for any Scotland Rugby supporter).

I am lucky enough to have called Australia home now for 17 years and love everything about the lifestyle, the culture and the people. My philosophy is to try and embrace every day, be kind to those around you and generally enjoy life.
