
Hello there. My name is Robert Portelli, and my wife Elizabeth and I sold our successful business March 2022. After a long overseas break, I am feeling refreshed and keen to add value to any business or organisation needing a ready-to-go team player with a great deal of life experience and business acumen.
My skill set comes from a broad range of experience working for family, small business, corporates and my own business/organisation over the past 20+ years. I can confidently apply myself in any department, team or project. I can help grow and improve or re-structure any customer experience, help nurture relationships at any level and fine tune existing sales & marketing departments or programs. I can also support, train and work with fellow employees in improving results and performance in most departments.
My natural ability to relate and listen to people (of any age), helps me to easily connect. Appreciating their needs and what is important to any person, (customer, resident, client or fellow employee) allows me to then bring relevant and effective ideas and choices to the discussion.

With respect to Sales or business development, I pride myself on being a professional rapport builder with a high conversion of enquiry to order ratio. Selling is based on relationships. People buy or deal with people, NOT companies or organisations. Improving sales (or relationships) is usually not about necessarily changing an existing process. By adding new, experienced eyes, that see the obvious, can make a considerable positive impact to the way you have ‘always done things’.
